COVID 19 VACCINE - 24.1.21
The practice will contact all patients aged 75 and above, then those on the COVID 'Shielding' register by telephone in the coming weeks. We will contact patients with future vaccination appointments as more stock becomes available. Patients aged 74 or younger are expected to be invited through the National System and NOT through the practice. Please DO NOT PHONE the surgery to enquire about when your vaccine might be delivered as our receptionists will not be able to provide any information at this time.
We would ask that anyone who has been booked for a vaccine attends for their appointment on time, unless they have symptoms of COVID such as a new cough, fever, breathlessness or loss of smell. We will not be able to quickly rebook anyone who misses his or her injection.
Further information on the COVID vaccine can be found here.

Previously known as The Blackwood Partnership, our practice is one of the oldest in Govan with a history dating back to the early 20th century. In 2015 we changed the practice name to the David Elder Medical Practice by popular demand from our patients. Born in 1795, David Elder was a marine engineer known as one of the forefathers of shipbuilding on the Clyde. For more information see the excellent website at www.acumfaegovan.com.
